Girolamo Ruscelli follows the map Schonladia nova of his compatriot Giacomo Gastaldi more or less exactly. When it comes to the twin Islandias, he has, however, gotten confused and as a result has removed the name of Iceland from both countries.
There are three states of this map, one from 1574 and another from 1598.
The map was published in Ptolemy’s Geography.
