This is one of at least 3 maps of Iceland said to have been engraved by Kaerius, published in L’Atlas by Gerard Mercator, by Johannes Cloppenburg’s map from 1630. It is often credited to Cloppenburg. The map is actually a rather accurate copy of Mercator’s map from 1595, even if it is only half the size. It has 223 mountains!
