Mapping Iceland

There is not much to say about this map. On the map itself is a text saying that it is based on the map of Vedel (Ortelius’ Islandia) and that of Joris Carolos, but it is actually a smaller copy of the latter. The map was reissued in 1598 with changed cartouche, the year updated.
